How to remove the Gemini watermark
- Download your image from Gemini at full size (the download button, not a screenshot) — that keeps the sparkle at its original position and strength.
- Open: drop one or more images on the tool, tap Choose Gemini images, or paste with Ctrl/Cmd+V. PNG, JPG and WebP work.
- Check: drag the divider on the preview and look at the Corner close-up. If the tool says no sparkle was found, tap the centre of the sparkle on the image.
- Download: press Download image, or Download all for a ZIP. Files keep their format and dimensions and are named …-no-watermark.
How the Gemini sparkle is removed without a blur
Gemini doesn't paste an opaque logo; it blends a white four-point star over your picture at partial opacity, using the same shape every time. Each corner pixel is therefore a known mix: watermark = α × white + (1 − α) × original, where α is the star's opacity at that pixel. This tool carries a measured map of that opacity for the 48 px and 96 px versions of the sparkle, finds the star by correlating the map with your image's bottom-right corner, then solves the equation backwards for every pixel: original = (watermark − α × 255) ÷ (1 − α). Because opacity varies slightly between Gemini models and JPEG re-saves weaken it, the strength is fitted per image until the star's core matches its surroundings. The result is the real texture that was under the logo, not a guess. When an image has been resized or heavily compressed and the maths can't come out clean, Auto switches to a smooth fill from the surrounding pixels, and says so.
Which images this works on
| Image | Result | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Downloaded from the Gemini app at full size (PNG or JPG) | Exact restore | Sparkle at its standard size and position |
| Nano Banana and Nano Banana Pro images | Exact restore | Same sparkle on both models |
| Re-saved as JPG, or sent through a chat app | Restore, edge healed | Compression softens the outline; the hairline is smoothed |
| Cropped, so the sparkle moved | Tap to locate | Sizes 36–96 px are matched where you tap |
| Resized or screenshotted | Smooth fill | The opacity map no longer lines up pixel for pixel |
| Videos (Veo) | Not supported | This page handles still images only |
Gemini places the sparkle 32 px from the bottom and right edges on images up to about 1K (48 px star) and 64 px in from the corner on larger ones (96 px star). The tool also checks the other spacings newer models use.
Your images, your rights — and what this doesn't do
- Use it on images you generated yourself. Removing marks from someone else's work, or passing off AI images as photos where that matters, is on the person doing it — please don't.
- SynthID is untouched. Google also embeds an invisible SynthID watermark in Gemini images; it isn't in the corner and this tool doesn't detect, alter or remove it, so the image can still be identified as AI-generated by Google's checker.
- No other watermarks. Stock-photo marks, other companies' logos and text overlays aren't handled — the method only works for the one shape it knows.
- Nothing is uploaded. Detection and restoration run in JavaScript on your device; you can switch to airplane mode after the page loads and it still works.
What about the Gemini video watermark?
Videos made with Veo in the Gemini app carry their own visible mark plus SynthID. This page doesn't process video: removing a mark from every frame of a moving clip needs a different method, and we only publish tools that give a clean result. If you need a still from a Gemini video, pull the frame with our MP4 to JPG tool first — the frame keeps the video's mark, so crop it or keep it as is.

Frequently asked questions
How do I remove the Gemini watermark from an image?
Open the image on this page. The sparkle in the bottom-right corner is found and removed automatically; check the 4× close-up, then press Download image.
Does it work on Nano Banana and Nano Banana Pro images?
Yes. Both stamp the same sparkle, at 48 px on images up to about 1K and 96 px on larger ones. The tool checks both sizes and the newer spacings.
Is it a blur or a crop?
Neither. Gemini blends the star over your image at partial opacity, so the original pixels can be calculated back exactly. A smooth fill is used only when an image was resized or heavily compressed, and the tool labels it.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, and there's no account.
Does this remove SynthID?
No. SynthID is an invisible watermark spread through the whole image. This tool only removes the visible corner sparkle and leaves SynthID exactly as it was.
Why does it say no sparkle was found?
The image was probably cropped, resized or screenshotted, so the sparkle isn't where Gemini put it. Tap the sparkle on the preview and the tool will match it there.
Can I remove the watermark from a Gemini video?
Not here — this tool handles still images. To get a still from a Veo clip, extract the frame with MP4 to JPG first.
Will the image lose quality?
No. Only the pixels under the star change. PNG files are saved losslessly; JPG and WebP are re-saved at quality 95 at the same dimensions.
