How the palette is made
Each date is turned into a number, which picks a base hue and one of several harmony rules (analogous, complementary, split-complementary, triadic or monochrome). Five colours are then spaced in lightness and saturation so they work together as background, surface, text and accent. The result is deterministic: everyone sees the same palette on the same day, so a shared link always shows exactly what you saw.
Your streak counts consecutive days you have opened a palette. It is stored only in this browser. Want colours from your own photo instead? Use the color picker from image.
